La Roja: Two Awful Tastes That Taste Worse Together
Bud Light.
With Clamato.
Introducing La Roja.

How could this possibly be a good idea?

Hey, that’s only one awful taste! But then again I’m from Canada, where Clamato was invented. :)
Seriously, though, a “draft’n clam” saves the day at bars where the selection is rather… *limited*… and all they’ve got is Molson Canadian.

Cheladas or Micheladas are hugely popular in Mexico. They are more like Corona + salt + bloody Mary mix, though… Bud Light + Clamato sounds like a pale imitation. Definitely an acquired taste, but I always get one when I go to the Mexican place down the street.

Yeah, bud just got it wrong. At the very least, you should give it another try mixing up your own combination of cheapish beer and clamato (or tomato juice if you want to spare the clam’s life). Cheers!

I just got back from living in Mexico. And loved Micheladas. here is what goes inside.
One glass of ice
salt on rim of glass
One beer (dark works nice)
Juice of one lime
a few squirts of liquid maggi bullion
a few squirts of Worcestershire sauce
a few drops of hot sauce.
mix it all together drnk.
Now you are also able to get micheladas that have all of the above AND Clamato juice. I prefer to not have the Clamato.
This mixture might sound kind of gross and YES I know there is ICE in the drink, but if you are ever in mexico order a Michelada and I am certain you will like it.

Oh sweet Jesus… I can’t stand either of those things, so combining them seems absolutely disguting.

Let’s just think about this.
Not just Bud. It’s BUD LIGHT. *shudder*
Now we’re going to add a substance that lists”clam broth” as an ingredient.
I stand by my claim that this is a bad idea.
